This work is rooted in building resilience, confidence, and deep compassion for yourself.

Trauma therapy does not inherently mean a traumatic event has happened or that the hurt is plain and on the surface.

And therapy should certainly not be sought out only during a crisis!

Therapy is a dedicated space to process daily stress, develop coping skills, and build confidence in expressing your needs and boundaries. It can help you nurture your relationships, release people-pleasing patterns, and move through difficult transitions like a breakup.

Personally, therapy supports you in connecting mind and body, clarifying your values, and gaining a deeper understanding of the experiences that have shaped you.

How does trauma happen?

Trauma develops when the nervous system is overwhelmed by experiences it cannot fully process—too much, too fast, too soon, or too often. It can arise from major events such as accidents or abuse, or from significant losses including a breakup, the death of a loved one, or the loss of a pet.

Trauma also frequently stems from early attachment experiences: emotionally unavailable caregivers, inconsistent love or affection, being parentified at a young age, or growing up feeling unseen, unheard, or unsafe in relationships that were meant to offer security.

These experiences can shape how we relate to ourselves and others and can lead to patterns of anxiety, avoidance, or difficulty trusting and connecting deeply.

Trauma therapy isn't reserved for the most dramatic experiences—it's for everyone. No matter the size or shape of your wounds, therapy can help you rebuild safety within yourself and reconnect with your authentic self.

I'm a woman with ADHD myself, so I understand what it's like to struggle with the daily demands of being neurodivergent. As a therapist specializing in young adult therapy, I aim to be someone who truly understands, because I've been there. I know what it's like to look like you have it all together while feeling anything but certain. I help clients explore their emotions, clarify their values, and understand the dynamics shaping their relationships, so we can build the tools they need to move forward with confidence.

Anxiety is a specialty of mine—and one I understand deeply from personal experience. It can show up as racing thoughts, negative thinking patterns, and catastrophic thinking that seems to have a life of its own. I know firsthand how frustrating it feels to try everything to stop the rumination and still feel stuck.

My mind-body approach to anxiety therapy blends somatic and cognitive methods to help you understand why your anxious parts show up, build tools to calm your body in anxious moments, and find your footing when your thoughts spiral.

I specialize in supporting individuals who feel consumed by worry and worst-case thinking, guiding them toward a life with more confidence, peace, and joy.

Connecticut relationship Anxiety Therapy

Therapy for Relationship Anxiety

I support my clients in reconnecting with themselves through the lens of their relationships. Many people I work with carry relationship anxiety: The relentless worry of not being liked, accepted, or good enough. They have learned to feel secure by making themselves endlessly available. They show up, give without limit, and keep everyone else afloat, quietly leaving themselves behind.

My work with clients focuses on rewriting the patterns that keep them rooted in relationship anxiety and self-abandonment. We explore together what it looks like to be in relationships differently—rebuilding self-trust, giving real weight to their own needs, growing confidence in their ability to set boundaries, and developing safety that originates from within rather than from the people around them.

I hold a core belief that safety doesn't have to live in another person—it can be built inside ourselves. Using IFS, EMDR, and other evidence-based, attachment-focused practices, I guide my clients back to themselves so they can see that they are exactly who they've been looking for.


Modalities I Use in Therapy

Alongside IFS and EMDR, I work from a holistic and integrative perspective: drawing on a strengths-based approach informed by ACT, DBT, Polyvagal Theory, and Attachment Theory. Together, we'll determine which modalities best fit your unique needs as we go.
