Trauma therapy does not inherently mean a traumatic event has happened or that the hurt is plain and on the surface.
And therapy should certainly not be sought out only during a crisis!
Therapy is a space to process everyday stress, build emotional coping skills, and grow more confident in setting boundaries and expressing your needs. It's also a place to strengthen your relationships—with yourself, your loved ones, or your partner—release people-pleasing patterns, or work through a difficult breakup.
On a personal level, therapy can help you reconnect your mind and body, clarify your values, and explore the experiences that have shaped who you are.
How does trauma happen?
Trauma occurs when the nervous system is overwhelmed by experiences that are too much, too fast, too soon, or too often. This can include major events like accidents or abuse, as well as significant losses—a breakup, the death of a loved one, or the loss of a pet.
For many, trauma also traces back to early attachment wounds: emotionally unavailable caregivers, inconsistent affection, being parentified at a young age, or growing up feeling unseen, unheard, or unsafe in relationships meant to provide security.
These experiences can shape how we relate to ourselves and others and can lead to patterns of anxiety, avoidance, or difficulty trusting and connecting deeply.

Moving from the structure of high school or college into adult life is one of the most challenging transitions a person can face. Young adults are juggling so much: friendships, dating, first jobs, and the weight of figuring out who they are and what they want.
As a therapist who specializes in working with young adults, I'm here to be someone who genuinely understands—because I've lived it. I know what it feels like to appear put-together while quietly struggling. Together, we work on understanding emotions, identifying values, and navigating the complexities of friendships, romantic relationships, and family dynamics to build a life that feels right.

Anxiety is not only a specialty of mine as a therapist, it's something I've personally lived with. Racing thoughts, negative thinking patterns, and catastrophic thinking can make daily life feel like an uphill battle. I understand how incredibly frustrating it is to want to stop ruminating and feel completely unable to.
My mind-body approach to treating anxiety is rooted in a mind-body framework, integrating somatic and cognitive techniques to help you understand the role your anxious parts play, develop practical tools to calm your body when anxiety shows up, and regain a sense of control when your thoughts spiral.
I specialize in supporting individuals who feel consumed by worry and worst-case-scenario thinking — helping them build a life that has more room for confidence, peace, and joy.

Therapy for Relationship Anxiety
I support my clients in coming back to themselves in their relationships. Many of the people I work with struggle with relationship anxiety—the constant worry about being liked, accepted, or good enough—and have found safety in always being available for others. They show up, give endlessly, and make sure everyone else is okay, often leaving themselves behind in the process.
I help my clients rewrite the scripts that keep them stuck in patterns of relationship anxiety and self-abandonment. Together, we explore new ways of being in relationships that rebuild self-trust, prioritize their own needs, build confidence in one's ability to set boundaries, and create a sense of safety that comes from within, not just from others.
I believe that safety doesn't always have to come from another person. It can be found within ourselves. Using IFS, EMDR, and other evidence-based, attachment-focused approaches, I support my clients in reconnecting with themselves and realizing that they are the ones they've been looking for all along.
Modalities I Use in Therapy
My work extends beyond IFS and EMDR to include a holistic, integrative approach: I draw from a strengths-based foundation shaped by ACT, DBT, Polyvagal Theory, and Attachment Theory. We'll work together during our sessions to select the approaches that are the right fit for you.
