Exploring Dynamics and Connections

My mission as a therapist for young adults is to be someone who truly “gets it,” because I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to appear successful while feeling unsure of how to figure it all out. I help clients understand their emotions, identify their values, and explore the dynamics of their friendships, romantic relationships, and family connections. Together, we build tools to help them live the lives they want.

Transitioning from structured life stages, like high school and college, to the responsibilities of adulthood is rough. Therapy can help.

Don’t wait for a crisis: therapy is here for you throughout any time in your life.

Let therapy be a space to process daily stressors, build skills to help you cope with your emotions, increase your confidence in setting boundaries and expressing your needs, or strengthen your relationships with your friends or family.

Common topics we welcome in therapy for young adults:

  • Figuring out what’s next in life, and figuring out your identity

  • How to plan their future when the world feels like it’s on fire

  • Determining what they want to be when they grow up

  • New relationships, dating, breakups

  • Grief (losing friendships, pets, loss of sense of self/sense of purpose)

  • Moving out of their hometown, living in a new city

  • Not being right down the hall from their friends in college or down the stairs from their parents at home

  • How to be authentic when social media is constantly playing a highlight reel and influencers are telling them what’s in

  • Feeling good enough (self-esteem) when outside sources tell you not to be “cringe”

  • Body image (changes in their body from teenage years to adulthood)

I hope to offer a space where you can bring your whole self into session.

I will be a partner in your growth by providing you a space to share your emotions, build skills, craft a text to a friend, family member, or potential partner, and support you in gaining clarity.

We will collaborate to explore the systems in which you live and how they influence your mental health and overall wellbeing and develop systems and strategies that allow you to live your life holistically and in alignment with your values.

No, I’m not going to take your phone away from you and I’m not going to make you meditate every day.

I hope to offer a place where we can be real with each other and look at what is and determine where you want to go.
